Mojang / Microsoft are threatening and acting on illegal statements in their EULA that won't hold up in court in most nations, but it seems they are counting on their users not being able to spend thousands of dollars to get their Minecraft accounts back after being falsely accused of vague 'word crimes' on privately hosted servers from gas lighting hackers who attacked their own customers... instead of actually PROTECTING them. Is Microsoft really that evil though? if they were they'd claim that by using their software on your private home computer they OWN your private data and can do whatever they want with it. But wait, they already did, years ago. Did you forget? Didn't notice? That's right, they did! Many customers, and let's not forget that they ARE paying customers... feel that this company needs to feel the effects of a Boycott so large it rivals the recent history of Bud Light - Microsoft needs its humility back, if they ever had any to begin with. They'd have to lose over 30% of their market value just to notice a small bump in the road they are such fat (cats). Question is, do the world's largest gaming community known for standing their ground in their independent liberty have it in them to make something like that happen? The Minecraft community have created mods for just about anything you can imagine, including blocking being SPIED ON by Microsoft / Mojang on their privately hosted servers, and they did it in a matter of DAYS! What else can they accomplish if they really put their minds to it? I have a feeling we're about to find out.
