Mojang is heading towards banning Java altogether due to the ease of modifications and the creativity of game designers. This is another step in that direction.

But a mod pack which creates the illusion of using gun powder (which ALREADY EXISTS IN GAME and has the name GUN in it) to push a tiny rock at high speed towards the SAME MOBS AND PLAYERS is 'evil'? Mojang would rather we kill things more slowly and torturously with a knife called a sword? Perhaps we should drop our swords and punch everything to death? Or perhaps everyone should stop buying the game since it's so 'dangerous' to play pretend adventure with.
